Review content:
Ethan Mehl of Mehl Homes and his crew completed our custom home remodel in summer 2010. Ethan converted our existing 800 sq. ft home to a living/kitchen area; added ~1000 sq ft additional space for bedrooms, bathrooms, and dining; and installed new septic system/drainfield. This project had some unique challenges due to steep slopes and nearby aquatic areas, not to mention winter weather. Ethan met these challenges with flying colors, and completed the project on-time and right on budget.
Communication with Ethan was excellent. He let us know on a weekly basis where we were with regard to the work schedule and always informed us when any decision-making issues arose. Ethan was easy to reach via phone or email and if he was busy, he promptly returned our calls. The worksite was always tidy so that we were able to show our family and friends the progressive stages of the remodel in a safe environment. He is a great listener and excelled at incorporating our style and needs into the remodel. When we needed guidance on decisions, Ethan gave us a number of options to select from, without any pressure to pick one over another.
We love our new home and visitors always comment about the great craftsmanship. It's our favorite place to be.
