Review content:
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND USING THIS ELECTRICIAN. James Collins is an incompetent electrician. I had called about installing an outlet for my kitchen range since it was previously hardwired. When I talked to him on the phone he quoted me a price around $90. When he got to my house I had asked him if I needed to turn off my ciruit breaker (which was clearly not turned off since my oven was properly functioning) and he had responded with a ""no."" He then proceeded to dismantle the electric cord causing the cord to thrash about with sparks flying everywhere. I had to run and turn off my circuit breaker so my kitchen wouldn't catch on fire. What kind of electrician doesn't disconnect the power source before probing the electrical box? I now question his license. I was very upset about what had happened and he was very unprofessional in his demeanor and comments about the situation. Furthermore, he tried to brush it off as if nothing had happened. He then had to leave numerous times to go to Home Depot because he forgot items needed and it took hours to complete the job (i.e. wasting both his and my time). Once he was finally finished, he charged me $150 claiming that it took longer than he had anticipated (even though it was his fault) and I needed to pay him for his time. Heed my advice and find a more qualified electrician.
Cons: Almost caught kitchen on fire & charged me more than quoted
