Review content:
This restaurant is a good example of the value of location. It is the local mexican food spot to go. People go because you see your friends and it is kid friendly. The food is lousy. The margaritas are bad. The sangria is terrible. The food is always overcooked. The seafood is inedible. The pork is like leather. And I am partly responsible, because I have been there probably twenty times and ordered everything on the menu hoping to find an edible dish. About once a quarter I talk myself back into going because it is "" the neighborhood mexican restaurant"". No more. After eating there your body smells like a grease trap. When someone tells me they like the food at Mely's, I know they don't know good mexican food.
