Review content:
I went for the first time to Currents. I had cabbage, candied yams and bbq. For one meat and two sides it's $3.75 and add a drink for .95. My total was $4.98. The portion size was on the smaller size of average. The cabbage was bland - tasteless. The candied yams were good but nothing I couldn't get out of a can. The bbq was aweful. Mushy and tasteless as well. The hushpuppies were stale - not crunchy and fresh and hot. I picked them up from underneathe the heat lamp so I'm sure they had been there awhile. Unfortunately, not even the atmosphere was that great. I also think the owners were Asian and while I have no problems with Asians - I have to wonder how they got into the business of Southern BBQ? There was no 'home cooked' flavor in any of the food I ate.
Pros: cheap
Cons: food is bland, mushy BBQ
