There are roaches everywhere in every single property that they own. We moved in when I was pregnant and terminated our lease early once our son was born. There were roaches crawling in his crib on a daily basis. The water heater in the unit above ours broke and flooded our apartment, not to mention part of the ceiling caved in due to it. The same sort of thing happened with the shower in the unit above ours. Emerald took their time fixing everything. There was black mold in the ceiling of the bathroom. Twice we had used toilet water dripping down over our only toilet, so you literally had to hold a towel over your head to go to the bathroom unless you want human waste dripping on your head. Called day after day about the roaches, and no one seemed to care. The Hispanic lady at the front desk tried to tell me ""it's Georgia, it's wooded, you're gonna have roaches."" I've lived in Georgia my entire life in wooded areas and never experienced them in that volume. Billy & Michelle are no help either. No one cares. We terminated our lease early and Michelle wanted us to pay her $900 to do so. When we were in the process of moving, someone broke in through the back door (the lock is flimsy and the holes for the pin don't line up) and stole our TV. I told Michelle that I would take them to court for that if they didn't agree to knock off some of the money that we owed them. She said she'd get back with me and never did. I've called at least 10 times and left voicemails for her every single time and have yet to receive a call back. We've lived in our new apartment for 3 months now and still have some roaches that came over in our boxes. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH EMERALD.
