Review content:
We did not have a glowing experience with Genesis Roofing. After the contract was signed they called and said the price had gone up several hundred dollars because of the rising oil prices. We did ignorantly agree to the higher price. The time and day was agreeed on for the work to begin. Then they arrived unannounced two weeks early. When told they were scheduled with us two weeks later, (we had to arrange financing) they said they needed to do it now. Again, we made a mistake and let them do the work, but told them again we could not pay for the roof for at least two weeks. It started raining and the workers left (no supervisor on the site) and did not clean up anything that day, which was a Saturday. Two people at our place stepped on nails and one person got a flat tire that day. I called the emergency number for Genesis roofing and no one answered nor called me back after I left a message. The workers returned on Sunday and worked all day and finally cleaned up most of the mess but not all. We still picked up lots of trash ourselves. We had also contracted for gutters which they did not come back and install for 3 more weeks although they demanded payment and made several phone calls to us about paying before the gutters were installed. But I think the worst part was that they overordered about $500 worth of shingles and supplies which they left on site for several weeks. We paid for those extra supplies and they came to pick them up when they knew we would not be there. I called them to see if they had picked them up which they admitted they did. When I asked for a refund of $500 for the overcharge of the materials they essentially stole from us, they said they did not issue refunds. So beware, don't let the name and their website fool you into thinking they will conduct business in a Christian manner.
Pros: seem to have done a good job installing roof
