Review content:
This gym used to be wonderful. We were there for several years, and the gym provided a strong Christian environment with excellent coaches. We felt informed as parents and that the coaches really cared about our child. Unfortunately, over the past year, the gym changed the way it operated. It no longer has a positive Christian feel, and it is more focused on competition. Our daughter was on the pre-team; our whole family went from loving it to dreading each of the 3 days of practice per week. The gym used to keep parents in the loop, communicated well, and helped our daughter progress. The new changes largely cut parents out of the communication loop. In the past, we were provided with monthly progress reports. With the new system, we only received a vague ""doing well"" but neverany feedback or specifics on how to improve or do better to progress to the level 4 team. When we called and asked to talk to the head coach, he made promises to get back with us and did not for 3 months! In fact, he never gave us a clear update on our daughter's progress. We were simply told we could do private lessons (ie. spend more $). In fact, it seems that no one really knows anymore what each child's progress is. We had trouble getting clear answers form anyone since the changes. Our child loved being on the pre-team in the past. Unfortunately, the new changes have made this gym one where only the very top gymnasts in their level receive attention, and other members are left feeling like just a number, unless you want to spend more money for more private lessons. Sadly by the time we left, we felt like just a paycheck to the business. Some of the coaches are still good, but the ""Christian"" emphasis and care are gone. We have found another local gym that carries the ""Christian"" name much better without advertising it.
