My transmission had been slipping for a few weeks. So I took my Jeep Grand Cherokee to Longhorn transmission , on 02/26/09. ""Give us a few hours and we will call you"" Is what I was told , Thats fine. I was called as promised , by the mechanic .He told me that he had driven the vehicle and couldn't really notice anything, and asked me what the problem was !! A few hours later , get a call ""Transmission is totally gone, it will have to be rebuilt "" . I reminded the manager that called me ,that I drove the vehicle to his business !!! "" Yeah well sometimes it just happens, could be working one minute , then stop the next"" . I told him ok then go ahead and do the work. Saturday I drove by Longhorn transmission (around 6:45 pm ) and noticed my Jeep outside. I turned around and went back to see why. And there is my vehicle sitting outside next to a bar with the windows rolled down (electric windows ) and the keyes in the ignition.....They are closed Saturday and Sunday . The transmission is out of the vehicle, the key is stuck in the ignition and will not turn or come out . The battery had been disconnected (no power to roll up windows or lock doors) . So I call the only # listed for them , no answer , no machine , nothing.... So all weekend my vehicle sat outside open to the public . I called Cedar Park Police department , and took several photos... Giving them one star , was being very kind... I don't recommend this company to anyone.. I will post any updates ..
