My husband and I took a tour of the Giving Tree in September 2011. We were very impressed - beautiful facility, nice staff, etc. We were encouraged to register with a $100 deposit ASAP in order to secure our place on the wait list. We were told that the spring enrollment would be done in November and we should have an idea then about whether or not there would be room in the spring for our baby. I called in November and the director said they'd been delayed and would be doing their registration in December. I called back in December, and the director said they'd been delayed once again. My husband called a third time in January, and the director said that they were completely booked until September 2012. After some prodding, he found out that there are 75 families ahead of us on the wait list! (That's $7,500 in registration fees!) In short, we felt totally misled and scammed out of $100. Do not waste your money and register here, you'll just be angry when you realize they have taken your money and run (they cashed our check two days after our tour).
