I thought this would be the ideal school for me to start out in. I was currently going back to school to finish my degree. This school is so uninformative. I was attempting to start school in the fall, I asked one of the ladies in the office to look at my profile and see if there was anything else that needed to be done and she said no. So I went on without a worry in the world because this is their job and they would know best. I kept getting emails that said I was missing a document for re-entry to this school. I went up to the school because it would be a miracle if someone would answer the phone and asked. Oh yeah, you need to fill out this form, but you won't be able to start until the winter because you have already missed the deadline. Even though this was their fault they were unable to make any exceptions for me. Now in the winter quarter I found out I had to retake the compass test because when I took it last was too long ago and had expired. I asked if I had to take math and english. They said only math. I took the math and kept getting emails every other day saying I needed to take the compass test which I already did. I must have gotten at least 6-8 emails saying this and must have called at least 5 times. I finally got fed up and went to the school, they assured me I was ok, so I let it be. I had to go up to school a second time to get this cleared up and finally the emails ceased. Don't even think about asking for detailed information on financial aid. Even though we have 3 financial aid advisors on this campus, they know very little about what additional options you have if you are unable to receive certain grants. They know little or nothing about scholarships (they'll refer you to the CTC website that has, um about 5-8 different ones with limitations), loans, oh and they have a book ""lending program"" that seems is somthing sacred that no one tells anyone about, only few. The only way I found out was through my Humanities professor and thank God because my book costed $345!!! I found this out just in time. If you have any investments, savings, loans, any other income of money they count that against you for financial aid help. It's like you get pentlized for being smart with your future. They want you to use every form of income/money you receive. I guess you have to be jobless, no investiments, no savings, no kind of other income.
