I would NOT RECOMMEND this place to ANYONE for Overnight Boarding!!! Our dog seemed Traumatized, Was Starving, Thirsty & slept for 2days!!!
Upon arrival at THE SPAW, which is a residential business that appears nice on the outside with landscaping & a detailed sign, we entered into a lobby with dog grooming supplies (leashes, bathing products, NAIL POLISH, etc...). We were greeted by an older chocolate lab, which was fluffed up & growling & the owner who was friendly but seemed scattered with the commotion of the other 6 dogs of all sizes running around freely & barking which went on the entire time that we were there to drop off our dog. Dogs were jumping over the computer desk & pet gates & it seemed very chaotic! We arranged to pick up our dog the following afternoon, and were assured that someone would be there until 6:oopm, Owner also stated that with boarding, they also bathe which seemed very reasonable $12total. We arrive the next day to pick up our pet, only to find that the door was locked, NO ONE (human) was at the business, & dogs were running freely throughout the house. We look inside & see our 100lb Shepherd hurdle the computer desk & slam into the front door trying to get out. We tried phoning for 1 HR, with no response from owner!!! Finally I went next door to another business to see if they had any different contact info, which they did. I got an answer from the owner, which acted like she couldnt believe that no one was there & said she would call me right back. A woman( I assume a co-worker)showed up just as owner was calling back to let us in. Owner apologized, said our dog was bathed that day & said she would not charge us for his stay. We got his belongings, of which NO FOOD WAS EATEN from his measured amt, & QUICKLY GOT OUT!!!
Pros: Looks OK, affordable.
Cons: UNSUPERVISED free roaming dogs in possibly UNSAFE environmen
