Review content:
Bixby Plaza Carpet is located in Los Alamitos Calif. We had new carpeting installed last September because we had a urine smell, due to our pets. Bixby sold us one of the best carpets, resistant to stains. We still had a bad odor in May, and I had it professionally cleaned by using a company they recommended. The odor got worse. Bixby said that I had to replace two rooms and patch a third. I asked them to check the wood underneath to see if it had gone through, and I would have to treat the wood first. They said the wood was ok. After more carpet was installed, I still had the problem and had to have a restoration company come out. Their diagnosis was that the odor was coming from the wood, which should have been treated first. After they treated the wood, we painted over the area to seal it, and more new carpeting was purchased and installed. The problem was now solved. A $7,000 job turned into a $12,000 job! The whole thing could have been averted if Bixby carpet had notified me that the odor was coming from the wood and should be treated before new carpeting was laid down. The workers had to smell the problem but choose to ignore it! I WILL NEVER USE BIXBY CARPET AGAIN! NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!
