Review content:
I went to Post Tel this afternoon after finding them on the internet and learning of their 75 cents per pound rate for paper shredding. The staff was kind, friendly, and helpful, and took care of my document shredding needs. I also had two suitcases that I was planning to take to FedEx/Kinko's to ship. But I noticed that Post Tel was also an authorized FedEx shipper, so while I was there, I asked if I could also send my suitcases. They said yes, and assured me that it in fact would be cheaper than FedEx. I had weighed my suitcases and estimated my costs already, so I knew what to expect. The man who appeared to be the owner or manager then told me I should put both suitcases into one box, and that that would save me ""like fifty bucks."" He immediately pulled out a box and began the process. I told him I wanted to ship them the ""cheapest way possible,"" and asked him repeatedly if this was cheaper. He assured me that it would be ""much"" cheaper. I asked him how much the boxes cost. He couldn't remember, but continued to assure me it would be cheaper than sending them separately. When he finished packing it, he weighed the entire package and the cost came to $125. I was very upset, as from my calculations, I expected it to cost about $60-$70. He then changed tones, became annoyed, and asked if I wanted him to take it out of the package. He proceeded to type the dimensions and weights that I had into the computer, proving indeed it was much cheaper. In fact it was $62. I mean, we're talking HALF the price here. Instead of apologizing for his misinformation, he promptly told me that I would have to pay for the box he used to package it, and when I balked, saying he had misled me, he said he was ""doing me a favor"" by packing it for me. I ended up paying $8 extra for the box. While the ladies who helped me with the shredding were great, I will never go back here due to his rudeness, misinformation, and refusal to take responsibility for his error. Pros: $.75 a pound shredding, competitive rates, variety of services offered Cons: terribly rude supervisor, customer pays for their mistakes
