Review content:
Don Jose's, which is in ""The Village"" shopping center in Castro Valley, doesn't look like it will be as good as it is, because of the old-style decore inside and out -- it looks like somebody in Minneapolis' idea of a Mexican restaurant. But don't let that fool you -- the food is very, very good, the service is good, and it's a good place for mixed drinks as they have a full bar. So if you're looking for a big meal of top-quality Mexican-style dinner, by all means drop on by, dive right in, and you'll find yourself as pleasantly surprised as my wife and I have been every time we go!
Pros: Excellent food.
Cons: Looks like a cliche that won't have good food, and then you're surprised at how good it is.
