I called and a lady picked up and said they had time to do my car. I asked about the coupon and they said to just print it out and bring it in. I drive over there and show her the coupon. She asked if i just called and if she gave me a quote. I told her no i did not get a quote. She then writes down that its going to be 92 dollars to get my car smogged. 92 dollars... with a coupon that is 10 dollars off. So basically 102 if i didn't bring in the coupon. That is the most scam like price ive ever seen. last 3 places ive had my car smogged it was 60 dollars max.
I told the lady that the price was way too high compared to any other place and got her to knock it down to 72 dollars (on pass). In the end my car ended up passing the emissions but failing the Fuel Evaporative Controls Functional and Ignitions Timing. Sounds like that's ok, but the thing is, i JUST had the evap system tested and it passed no problems at another place a week ago. Also, my car didn't actually ""fail"" these two, the technician said that he couldn't fit the piece on. I don't see how he couldn't when the other place could. The fact that they were going to charge me 92 dollars for smog is insane.
pros - they were fast
cons - I got scammed. I would never recommend this place to anyone with an older car. I don't think these people know as much as they think. I was failed under the lack of knowledge of the technician.
