This is really a top notch shop. I went to both locations, Chestnut Hill and Newtonville. The staff were friendly and attentive. They really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. They listened to my style but felt free to give their opinion on what they liked on me. They were willing to suggest styles and also to let me just browse. I didn't feel pressured. No one was false or saccharine. They had great frames. They encouraged me to comparison shop elsewhere before making a decision. They were up front about their prices and willing to write down style numbers and price breakdowns. If I can narrow down my choice of frames to a line that they carry, I would prefer to buy from them over anyone else in the area.
