Businiess name:  Michael's Pasta In The Pan

Review content:
As a chef/owner of a LA Restaurant, I came home to visit with my Dad for Fathers Day. They insisted we dine at Pasta in the Pan which turned out to be a huge mistake. Service at the bar was rude. We were annoyed watching the cocktail waitress/bartender harass 30 year olds for ID's while making us wait for beverages. The appetizers were served hot and prompt. The dressing on our Caesar salads tasted like a combination of what was left in the fridge from the past week. We were disappointed to find out the table next to us was offered dipping oil with their bread while we were not. I had Chicken Mississippi which was plenty spicy, but the dish gave new meaning to the word chicken. It appeared to be 'hand shredded' instead of sliced and must have been overcooked and refrigerated prior to making this entree. It lacked tenderness and flavor and perhaps the addition of jalapeno's was a way to use up old product without being noticed. My Dad had the Scallops Alfredo with Spinach and although he said it was good, it looked pasty and dry, as if it was made earlier and reheated. It lacked the creamy consistency expected from a quality sauce. It appeared to us that the ingredients were not the freshest or of the highest quality which we expected in regards to the priceyness of their meals. When questioned about our meals, the staff appeard to be inexperienced and unprofessional going from one server to another attempting a suitable answer. I would certainly not recommend this place based on our experience. I am sure Mass has more to offer than Pasta in the Pan. Avoid. Pros: View of the Connecticut River Cons: Unprofessional and poor bar service, lacks fresh ingredients, overpriced
