Review content:
Personable and friendly staff, including an owner/chef who frequents the dining room to ask you how you're enjoying your food. We've gone back again and again. We're spoiled living in St. Louis with the great Italian restaurants on The Hill, but this is truly ""a taste of the Hill"" as their sign says. My wife's family is ""from the Hill italian"" and this is about her favorite restaurant. I have to comment on the negative reviews - especially the one alleging that the pasta is frozen. I can say that in the dozens of times we've eaten there this has NEVER been the case. In fact, if you sit in the non-smoking area you can see right into the kitchen and see that dishes are made from scratch. We find the prices to be moderate ($6-9 for a pasta dish, $12-15 for entrees, which include salad & side) and most pastas are half-price on Tuesday nights, so if price is a big consideration, give that a try. Can't imagine you'll be disappointed.
