I was told they sent the deposit check to the apartment that was vacated - despite having a forwarding address and phone number on record. Furthermore i had a friend who still lived at that apartment and no check was ever sent.
Then the next check bounced - twice! Finally, my roommate and I together went to the Barkalow Investments office (aka Barkalow Homes aka Big Ten Apartments) to get a new check issued. He is tricky. A check is only good for 6 months and it took 5 months for us to get a valid check issued. Tracy only made efforts to meet with us to provide a valid check after we threatened to bring in a lawyer.
I would not trust this business. Take every precaution if you rent from them - there is little chance you will get your deposit back otherwise.
