Review content:
I was referred to Randy Young a couple of years ago. My daughter is a varsity athlete (multiple sports at the time) and wanted to improve her strength, performance, and learn how to properly train between sports to avoid injury. In addition, although I had a decent physique, I was miles away from being in shape. Randy had us to journal our meals and helped us to understand how we should adjust our eating habits. He didn't put us on a ""diet"", but instead made suggestions on how to eat to meet our goals. Then, he worked with us on our very busy schedule and limited budget so that we could both take advantage of his expertise. I have hired a number of ""trainers"" over the years from chain establishments, ""boutique"" gyms, and individuals. Before StaYoung, 99% of the time the would treat me as if I were insignificant and not really pay attention to what my needs were. I felt like I was money, not a client who really wanted to work hard and meet goals. It is apparent in every workout that Randy not only has solid experience, but a solid education in fitness as well. He caters my workout to what I need and explains along the way WHY I am doing an exercise a certain way and which muscles it effects. He directs certain ""tweaks"" in my form and I not only feel the difference, but understand why. Randy pushes me to reach the next level while still paying careful attention to when I need to ease up. Before I even have a chance to say I'm struggling, even if it's just being motivated for the day, he knows it and asks what's up but encourages me to stay focused and positive. He's the only trainer I've ever had that actually works out with not just me, but all of those he trains, especially on Saturdays during boot camp. He does the exact same exercises he expects us to do and drives us to push ourselves. Honestly, sometimes I just want to cuss (or do in my head :) ? but in a very good way! My daughter and I both have had an amazing experience with StaYoung. We've not trained with Marc, but have heard amazing things about him as well. I love the new facility and how it is a REAL GYM. It is always clean and lends itself to an atmosphere of work. The people I have met there are very diverse group in every way, and with all of the talking and laughing we do (while sweating:) we have become friends who hold one another accountable? even when Randy's not looking! As for my daughter, she's away at college playing varsity softball and knows that when she comes home for the summer, Randy will keep her in shape. As a matter of fact, she said that in spite of her intense daily training with her coaches, there's no way she'll be ready for Randy!
