Review content:
What makes 5A5 one of my favorite hang-outs in the Financial District, is its great atmosphere. The fireplace greets you as you walk in and you know you've arrived when you look up and see a dome that reminds you of the sci fi movies. I've come here many times with co-workers and friends to grab some drinks and grab a few bites off of their happy hour menu. My favorites by far are the shishito peppers and truffle fries. Can't go there without ordering those two items. And they have a wide selection of drinks for all tastes. i'm pretty boring. I generally just grab a beer, but they do have plenty of mixed drinks if you like that sort of thing. As for dinner there, the T-bone is my steak of choice. But, I did indulge in a 4-oz of the wagyu once and I can tell you that I was in heaven.. at least until I finished my plate. Then, reality set back in and I was forced to wait until the next time I could try it again. My favorite side dishes to go with a good steak were the corn with kaffir lime leaves and mac n cheese. Definitely worth a try for all steak aficionados. Pros: Happy Hour Specials, wagyu steak, drink specials Cons: Takes awhile to get noticed when the bar area gets busy
