Review content:
In the past I have left a number of items with La France Dry Cleaners and my clothing has been cleaned properly. I recently left a very expensive, one of a kind blouse ($125) with them. It was a delicate item and I clearly asked if this could be cleaned properly and delicately due to the particular beading on the item. I was told by the front desk staff that they could definitely take care of it. I returned in five days to pick up the blouse. When I got it home and took off the plastic and paper wrap I found a large amount of the beading had come off of the blouse. I was dumbfounded that a business would actually think it was alright to place that blouse back on the hanger knowing it wasn't alright. Long story short, after many trips back to the cleaners and discussions with the manager, John, and also giving them an opportunity to fix the blouse, it still was not fixed properly. They will not refund me for the blouse saying that they cleaned the blouse which is what I asked them to do. No - what I asked them from the beginning was, could they clean the blouse as it was delicate and it had beading on it. If they had not been sure, I would not have left the blouse. I was then told that they needed to train their front counter staff better! Customers beware - dry cleaners are great when they clean your clothing properly but La France won't step up to the plate when something goes wrong and that is when it really counts. I would not recommend La France dry cleaners to anyone and have, in fact, already advised friends who were previously going there and they no longer will. Customer service is everything when you have a service oriented business. This is a shame because I was taking clothes there regularly and now they no longer have my business as well as a number of people I know. PS - I had to put in a star rating in order to publish this review. Personally they get no stars from me and from the looks of some of the other reviews, I see they feel the same way I do.
