Review content:
I called Nancy of Love on Paws because her number was associated with a cocker spaniel rescue. My friend's mother had just died of cancer, and had left behind SEVEN pets. Her two daughters needed desperately to find homes for as many animals as possible, as they could not take them all on. I called the cocker spaniel rescue number and finally got Nancy. When I called, she berated me for 10 minutes about my horrible cell phone service (I'd been getting calls all morning but her calls were getting ""no service messages"" - like she does with a lot of her customers' cell phones, but I'm sure it was my phone...) and then proceeded to berate me for an additional 15 minutes, questioning what was wrong with the two 20-something daughters whose mother had just died that they wouldn't take in their mom's dog, and what kind of people were they? Then I got an additional 10 minutes about her poor partner who handles the rescue who is so overworked and that she probably couldn't take in the cocker because ""it's not like there's a long line of people waiting to take in an elderly dog"" (the dog was 12). Even if they'd had room, I'd never have taken the dog to such an atrocious woman. HELLO? The daughters had SEVEN pets to deal with, not just one, and thank you ever so much for berating them and dumping your partner's problems on them when they've just lost their mother. I didn't call you because you were a groomer, I called because your number is listed with a PET RESCUE. No wonder she works with animals...she has no concept of how to treat humans. Take your business to someone who cares, and above all, do not look for assistance from this rescue, especially in a time of need. A simple, ""I'm sorry, we can't help"" would have sufficed.
Cons: caring, compassion, service
