The property management department is the worst and should be black listed by the military. Our agents failed to inform our tenants of important information regarding the house. They failed to do all inspections (both those performed by them and those in which we put in writing we wanted done on a specific date ie..termite inspection and hvac servicing) on time and every question we had was met by a disrespectful and condescending attitude from DeAnna. She always had an excuse as to why our simple requests were not being met (things Townsend was obligated to do per our contract). When things went wrong in the house (like the tenats running over our water faucet and them saying the AC didn't work...even though the repairman said it was working fine), we did not find out until we got the bill with our monthly statement. And then when I asked if it was possible to end our contract and seek other representation, she emailed me stating they couldn't provide the service we needed and that our contract was over. Leaving us with tenants they put there in the day after we signed a contract with them. That had bad credit. That we had no voice in allowing to move in or not. And that low and behold...were two weeks late at the time DeAnna said she was ending our contract. What makes put the icing on the cake? The fact that we are a military family living overseas in seperate countries. Townsend knew this from the get go. DeAnna knew that. We aren't house flippers and did not buy our home with the intent of making money. It was to be our home. But we got orders just after closing and had no choice but to rent it. We had the false impression that by hiring Townsend we'd be professionally represented and our investment would be protected and looked after. We are still attempting to deal with the mess Townsend left us. PLEASE go anywhere but Townsend. Try 360 Property Management out of Spring Lake. Unlike Townsend, if the tenants are late, 360 will give YOU the late fees and not keep them.
