I know it is not the safest countertop but I wanted marble. I went to 11 countertop places and everyone told me that they wouldn't install marble countertop but no one would explain why. I went to Stone Masters as my last resort. They also did not recommend it but told me why. I understood the risks and decided that I could live with it-and that the beauty of it outweighs the trouble that I could have.
