I was appalled after a visit to this school. I stopped to say a prayer in the church and happened upon the 2nd gr. class practicing with their 2 teachers, a short haired and longer haired blond, rehearsing a pageant for All-Saints Day. They were so unnecessarily lacking in kindness and compassion in their approach, as if they were administering to hardened criminals and not small children. They were a sweet bunch of children, obviously terrified and nervous wrecks. I felt particularly bad for one small child named Leo whose crime was to get in the wrong pew by mistake (He's 7 years old)!. He was yelled at (in the church) and badgered until he answered what pew he is in was row 2 correctly. These are not women who should be in charge of young children, they have no kindness and patience. The short haired blond teacher screamed when the children didn't keep proper distance between themselves (again they are 7) and she yelled ""Go back until you do it right you've been told to keep space between you not to bunch and and stay center!). I was scared and I'm 45. I will decide whether to write an official letter to the diocese, and I hope someday Leo's Mom reads this and starts a movement to get those teachers removed and replaced by someone who loves and not hates children. The preschool was awful also, chaos, the teachers don't smile, yell at them like are soldiers in waiting and yet have no control over the classroom (try earning their respect for control?). Boys and girls go to potty in one group, isn't Catholicism supposed to be about teaching by example? Teach kindness then! Miss Sandy of the preschool did not smile at one child once and didn't have a kind word for one and I was there 20 minutes. This place is the pits and their teachers and accountability the bottom of the barrel. What an assault to Catholicism as a way of life and as an educational approach.
Pros: They have a roof in case it rains.
Cons: Bottom of the barrel teachers lack compassion and patience.
