Review content:
The only reason I went to this place is because I had two $50 gift certificates. I called in advance to make sure they were still valid, and they said yes. When it came time to paying for the meal, they claimed they couldn't accept either one. The general manager thought he'd do me a favor by taking one. I explained to him my situation and told him i'd like to speak to the owner, to which he replied ""Steve doesn't want to deal with this petty stuff. He's leaving soon."" The general manager kept refusing to comply, and I said I go to the back myself. He beligerently told me right in my face that he'd kick me out of the restaurant so fast if I dared such a thing, then told his hostess to call the cops as a scare tactic. I said please do, after which he told his hostess not to call anymore! Anyway, long story short, they only accepted one of the certificates. I'm starting to think a lot of it was because my two friends were the only African Americans there. The food was average at best. I'd choose Nick & Sams, Pappas, or Three Forks over Steve Field's any day.
