Review content:
The only other review was written several years ago, and at that time the writer was correct. I live very close to Micahel's and would rather drive into East Hampton than walk across the street. But, with the new chef, Luis DeLorea has turned things around. The ambiance is still there, but the food is terrific! I haven't had a dish in there yet that I didn't just love. The prices are very reasonable, the portions are what you should expect, and the tastes, flavors and variety of foods is hard to beat. Try some of the appetizers at hppy hour or order a couple of appetizers for dinner. Whether it's the lobster ravioli or the Springs Salad (which I can't stop ordering), or his pork, lamb or veal, it's all really good. If the other writer still comes out here, I would suggest he give Micahel's another chance - it's well worth the drive from town!!!
Pros: Ambience, variety, price and the chef
Cons: It's a little bit out of the way, but that could be a good thing.
