Review content:
Original Review September 2007: I noticed there were a lot of mixed reviews, so figured I would give my very blunt angle of Sushi Thai on Wycliff Rd. Sometimes I just REALLY need sushi. I have that sushi craving/hunger pang, and I just have to have it! Sushi Thai hits the spot and you won't go broke eating your fair share of sushi. $1 nigiri, $2 rolls, $2 appetizers. The quality isn't as good as Waraji or Shaba Shabu, but for the price, the quality is pretty darned good! If I made ghastly amounts of money, I'd go to Waraji for sushi every time. But for the moderate income folk, sushi thai is fine and dandy! The Chicken Pad Thai extra hot...YUM! UPDATE: December 17th, 2007: their rating has gone down, way down all the way to 80 and back up to 91. We had a quick bite of sushi the other night. It wasn't very fresh or very good. Today I ordered my usual Pad Thai extra hot for lunch. They used excessive amounts of fish oil, so it tasted fishy. There was no lime on top to get that citrus kick into the flavors, and I didn't get any chopsticks, so had to come back to work and eat with a plastic fork. Sushi Thai used to be alright, but it's gone downhill and continues to go further down each time I go. It's just not fresh. The Harris Teether servings are tastier and about the same price. Save your money and time. UPDATE: October 21st, 2008: We decided to give Sushi Thai another chance, as their health rating had gone back up. The sushi was fresh. The service was back up to par. The restaurant was PACKED! I think they just had a bad run for a while there, but they seem to have gotten their stuff back together. Defintiely give them a try again! Pros: Great prices, friendly staff, hits the sushi spot Cons: Not the freshest sushi, but definitely the cheapest!
