Businiess name:  Taranto's Pizzeria

Review content:
I consider myself a pizza gourmet. I always like to try new places. Taranto's pizza was recommended by an acquaintance with such enthusiasm that I had to try it. As a vegetarian, my favorite pizza order is a cheese pizza with banana peppers and extra sauce. For me, the sauce is of number one importance followed by the crust and quality of the cheese. In my opinion,Taranto's has absolutely the best sauce in the Columbus area. It is a savory mix of tomatoes and spices. The crust is also quality.. I usually order thin crust. I had a bad experience today. For the first time ever I ordered a thick crust. I was taking it to work to share with fellow employees with the intent of impressing them with the great pizza. We each grabbed a slice and bit into it with big expectation only to find that the crust was totally raw under the surface. What a disappointment! I did call and complain. I was told that they had a new cook and they assumed he did not cook it long enough (Duh). They said they would send me a coupon to replace it. I will look forward for its arrival in the mail. Why four stars instead of five? My other complaint is that they are very stingy with toppings. When I order banana peppers there are not even enough to get some on every slice. Today I ordered a gourmet pizza,, the Tuscan Sun. Taranto's charges a lot for premium toppings. It would be nice to have enough to have some in every bite, or at least on every slice. I also think their pizzas are small for the high price. Despite my complaints, I will return because that sauce is to die for!
