Absolutley the worst! A friend made reservations to hold her birthday party there early on a Saturday evening. When it came time to order, the elderly waitress told diners that if they did not order now their food would take a long time to come out. The place was empty. There were some people who needed to be put on a separate check-as a former waitress, I understand that doing so is annoying, but not a big deal. They people who needed separate checks specifically asked it that was okay and were told several times, yes. As appetizers were being cleared, the new waitress spilled food all over people and then gave attitude. The food arrived 2 1/2 to 3 hrs after we ordered it. When asked, nicely 5 different times, the old waitress would either lie and say right now or tell people to back off, sit down, and leave her alone. 2 hours after our reservation another large party came in and the waitstaff was taking chairs from guests who had gotten up and giving them to the new party. The food was brought out finally- 1 dish at a time. We ordered drinks and never got them, but we were charged. The bill came all as one and when asked about separate checks, the old waitress refused to rectify but told her about an ATM around the corner that did not exist. The bill was overcharged by $20.00(not much) but they charged 20% gratuity. No manager or owner was available. 4 hours after the party started, the birthday girl was in tears, half of the guests left to relieve the babysitters, and the food was only decent. Please-Go to Adega Grill in Newark.
