I was totally surprised that a franchise existed for this type of business...especially when it's not a boarding facility. But then I thought about it - that means minimum training standards, full time employees, etc. - all good things for consistence and quality of pet care.
Ken, the owner, returned my call within an hour, and came out in person with the pet care professional from his team that would most likely be working with me on an ongoing basis.
They were both super professional, gave me both office and cell numbers right away, and offered to sign me up for daytime dog walking for the dates I already had in mind.
Then I checked out their website - instead of my usual paranoid 4 pages of instructions, it asks all the questions right there so they have them on hand, no matter who is on call or who is providing pet care.
While I have dogs and cats, apparently they care of other animals too - hugely important when you're covering Dripping Springs. :) And they have a number of different types of services - small group play dates to keep your dog socialized, one-on-one time, etc.
I am psyched! No more calling 20 different people to see who comes out to Drip, who does overnights in home, etc. One stop shopping with professionals!
