Review content:
I would have used the alterations at Burke cleaners, as it would have been WAY cheaper, but I needed something fast. I had a very simple taffeta dress (one layer of fabric), knee length and wanted shortened a little bit and one of the straps shortened as well. both very simple tasks. she wanted to charge me $40 for a hem, $20 for the strap and $10 for the express free. She has a sign up in her shop that says $13 for hem, so I asked about that, she said that was for ""pants,"" don't really see why it is such a big difference in price but whatever. So I decided to nix the hem as i could not bring myself to pay $70 for this simple job! I paid $25 upfront and when i came to pick up i should have owed her $5 (20 for strap hem, and 10 for express fee equals 30!!), of course for whatever reason she asks me for $10, which was double what I owed her at that point. I will never go back here, I feel like the lady will rip you off at any chance she gets. Not worth it, if I had the time I really could of done this myself, it's just ridiculous...
