Having read the blurb on this place from citysearch I did not know quite what to expect when I went to RePOP for the first time, and to tell the truth....I was astounded! This beautiful boutique is not just an art, collectible and hobby situation.....it is an art installation of everything wonderfully vintage. Not only did I walk away with a great pair of designer lamps and pair of knoll chairs (that were so reasonably priced for what they were I could not believe it), but I also felt that the curators had a deep sense of what the essence of New York vintage / antique shopping should be. RePOP is a throwback to stylish yet inexpensive, creative shopping for the home, and happening upon it made me feel as I had been let in on a marvelous secret. I have been back several times since my initial visit and the selection shifts frequently. I find it difficult not to want to take the whole shop home with me. If you love well made and unique mid-century pieces, primitive cabinets, crazy cool arm chairs and glamorous accents this IS THEE destination for you. Those afraid of dolls and suggestive art objects should avoid. Pros: One stop shopping for decorating, gift giving and atmosphere. Cons: Hard to make a decision and the owners are prone to creepy stuff like spinal cords and crazy doll heads
