Review content:
My fiance and I met with the owner, Jennifer on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 7pm. We talked about what kind of wedding cake we wanted, and ordered the cake we were hoping to have at our wedding to try, the caramel apple filling in a spice cake with cream cheese icing. We wanted to taste it prior to picking it for a couple reasons, 1) the cake we tasted at our tasting, tasted as if it was dried out and a few days old (I'm not just saying this, I work at a bakery, it tasted at lest 3-4 days old), 2) most people we talked to told us to not go with them, we were told the owners were awful to deal with and one of our friends even had their wedding cake fall apart on their wedding day. We arrived at Jennuine with an open mind and planned on giving them the benefit of the doubt, the cake was just dry, so we ordered one, that we thought we would like to try a fresh cake. We were supposed to pick it up on Thursday, June 2nd, before 6pm when they closed. My fiance left work early, drove 20 minutes out of his way to arrive at Jennuine at 5:00pm to find a hand written note on the door, stating that they closed at 4pm that day. Neither one of us received a call or any notification. They had an order to be picked up and didn't even give the customer the courtesy of a phone call.... VERY POOR BUSINESS ETIQUETTE!!!!
