Review content:
We were renting a property managed by First Place. They were pretty helpful and quick to send maintenance whenever we needed it throughout our lease. When we moved out, we spend hundreds of dollars in carpet cleaning and maid services, as well as materials to repair and repaint all the walls. Despite the fact that the house was move-in ready (as required) when we finally moved out, they withheld our deposit, falsely claiming that the property was dirty and in need of repairs. Even after we hired a lawyer, they still would not return the deposit owed to us. I'm sure management companies run this scam all the time, but I'm just sick that they did this to us and got away with it.
