I hired ampd electric to do my basement finish. These guys were nice guys but terrible at what they do. I have a ton of complaints but will only mention a couple to save some time. Even from the first day they didn't show up when they said they would. In fact ten first day they didn't even show up (said they had an emergency- later found out it was another job. They would call me and say they would be an hour late. After an hour would pass they would call and say it would be another hour. This went on each day which was extremely frustrating because I was stuck just waiting for them. The project was quoted to take two says and it ended up taking two weeks. My project was a basement finish with no drywall in the way to slow them down. My next issue was the work they did didn't even come close to passing the city expection. Their work failed twice in fact. The last issue I had was simply the did the job wrong. I ended up bringing in a master electrician to fix all the mistakes. Ampd put in way too many circuits which ended up costing me hundreds in additional breakers. The electrical panel they installed was too small so I had to spend hundreds to switch that out. All in all I would estimate I spent $1000 more than I needed by hiring Keith from ampd electric. These guys don't know the codes, don't know what they are doing, and it's scary to think about the poor quality of work the are putting into homes.
