Review content:
Been in 'Cruces for 15 yrs. Passed by this place several times as it looks like a dump and is always empty. After reading several reviews in local newspapers recently, I thought I would finally give this place a try. Supposedly has new owners that have been there about a year now. Same Teriyaki recipe as the old owners.
First of all, more than half of their entrees are Shrimp, then one quarter chicken and less than one quarter are beef. Perhaps a better title would be ""Shrimp Teriyaki House"". Second, the teriyaki sauce itself is awful. Worse than a store bought jar laden with preservatives. Not that it is laden with preservatives, but that is what it tastes like. Gross. Thirdly, the sauces that came with our entrees were somewhat skimpy. Maybe enough for one or two pieces of chicken. Fourth, our sodas were almost pure water. Two different drinks, so can't blame the one mixture. Looks like all their sodas from the fountain are set to have a heavy water mixture. Lastly, to top it off, of course, somewhat overpriced for what you got.
I understand that it may somewhat difficult to make ends meet, especially in this economy, but to skimp on the preparation, presentation and quality of food is not the way to do it. This was a horrible experience and we're never going back. Good luck to the owners of this restaurant,.. but I think you should be in another business.
