Started off with their version of sangria. Didn't think much of it since it tasted like watered down grape juice. For appetizers we had the toro. The slices were definitely not worth the price. The attept at asian fusion is completely an insult to the asian community. Moreover, the manager sent the hamachi to attempt to redeem themself for the toro. Although I appreciate gesture, the pepper combo with the hamachi was not good. The sashimi was drenched in soy sauce and I was not able to enjoy the ""freshness"" of the sashimi. The toro and hamachi were not ""fresh."" The only high point that makes this restaurant a ""must go"" is the steaks. This place has excellent steaks. The hanger steak is an excellent cut of meat and grilled just right. The sides (brocolini and potatos) were great...then so-so after realizing that the portions were definitely not worth the price. Also, the mojito limes were not muddled in my drink. Any tex-mex fusion or attempt at that should know that the flavour of the citrus is in the skin of the lime and to bring out this flavour the limes need to be muddled. I would say I would not go back based on this experience, but the SERVICE was excellent. I'll give them a second shot. Just stay away from the poor attempt at asian cuisine. I would also suggest to Tim that he try the mojito @ Fogo de Chao. Try the toro & hamachi at Tei Tei, Blue Fish and even Nakamotos. The sushi restaurants give you portions that are more filling at a more competitive price to keep their customers happy. Otherwise take the sashimi/sushi off the menu.
Pros: SERVICE, great Hanger steak and Filet
Cons: An insult to the sashimi/japanese Connoisseur, not muddled mojito, overpriced sides
