CVS is my Pharmacy of Choice. I am writing because of my sincere concern for the CVS Pharmacist located in Suffolk County, NY Recently, consumers were at a Medford Drug Store, when a gunman came in shotting four customers ~ each one in the head, killing them. One month later, CVS W. Sayville, NY experienced a similar problem. A man with a gun jumped over the counter, taking pain pills with him and hurting the Pharmacist. This incident will happen again, for sure, because these are desparate times with desparate people. That robbery caused fear and concern among the staff and consumers. What I have noticed, CVS has OPEN Drug Counters allowing any one an opportunity to jump over/a weapon/gun and steal medicine as well as hurt, mame, or kill the Pharmacy Staff or customers waiting for their prescriptions. I believe a protective shield (similar to the banks) should be surrounding the Pharmacist Counter(s) and at least one Guard on Duty while the store is open. Your employees are the ones we turn to FIRST with problems. They help by keeping our personal records and working with our medical professionals. They are the Best Pharmacist we've know. Most helpful, thoughtful and informative when requesting information. CVS, West Sayville, NY has helped us many times and for that I want to see them PROTECTED. Thank you for reading my concern. I am a loyal customer for 24 years at CVS Pharmacy in W. Sayville. Happy New Year, Joey
