Review content:
As first-time homeowners, my fiance and I chose to shop at Belcaro for our house-painting project. We wanted top-of-the line paint and the customer service to go along with the money we'd be spending. At first, Belcaro seemed like the perfect mom-and-pop business to patronize, but as we spent more money and moved forward with our project, we realized that our money would be better spent elsewhere--and would go farther too! They were only helpful when my fiance was with me--never when I was by myself or with a female friend. Their color consultants must not have experience with exterior paint or with the historic homes of many Denver neighborhoods, as the colors they recommended were completely off-base and ridiculous for our 1925 bungalow. Of course, once you purchase paint of any color from them, you cannot exchange it or return it. We brought our architect and used her discount to buy paint--but when we finally went elsewhere (& vowed to never shop there again), we found that it was cheaper to buy the paint at True Value Hardware--same exact product & cheaper even than it was with the architect's discouunt. Not to mention, the customer service at the hardware store was 1,000 times better. We will NEVER go back to Belcaro. If you want Benjamin Moore paint, go to True Value Hardware on Colfax. If you want color consultants, go to Guiry's--or hire a professional. Pros: Top-of-the line products, Beautiful store Cons: Overpriced, disrespectful staff
