I live in the construction area for the Cherry Road expansion. I have been slightly silent up until now about the inconveniences which this company has obviously been told to create. First they were driving the heavy equipment across the front of the house. This is understandable considering it being a traffic free area. However the vibrations knocked a German made clock off the wall, and shattered the water meter plumbing, both of which I had to have repaired. The vibrations have now caused internal plumbing issues to the two toilets in the house which will cost an estimated $170 a piece to replace or I can simply let the toilets coniuously run which will increase the Rock Hill utility bill. Secondly a piece of their machinery was left in my drive only to puncture a hole in my tire. Tires for an suv cost at minimu $110 which I had to pay for. Now somewhere along the way they have found that a landfill in the corner of my lot is a good place for their trash and have promptly buried it without an EPA permit. This is where the fun begins, I was home with the flu on Monday Oct. 11, when one of their gentlemen knocked on my door and asked if I could move my truck so the concrete could be poored for the driveway/ sidewalk. I promptly complied while he stated that it would only be for three days. The gravel to allow me to enter back into my driveway was finally laid on Oct.19. In the school I graduated from, that constitutes a much longer period than three days. To this there was a debate because I own an suv the company felt that I really didn't need the gravel because of the height of my clearance. There should have never been a debate per the signed documents with the Right-Of-Way purchase. At this point my vehicle is now covered in concrete dust to which I have to scrub off with a scowering pad ruining the vehicle finish and the window glass. Now, I have been driving up and down the street only to find that my home has been the only one inconvenienced in such a manner. To this end I amn the only one whose mailbox was never put into place and is stilll not prooperly in the ground and I found it in a pile near that glorious landfill they have created. This does not even talk about the blocking of my driveway on numerous occasions, the number of workers who need to be reported to the INS, or the inappropriate manner in which the workers have treated the citizens of a neighborhood to which the city of Rock Hill says its a County issue and will not address the concerns of taxpayers within its boundries.
