Review content:
What a mess! Vector is incompetent. They gave correct information about key points regarding my move. Then they lost a 4.5 cu. ft. box in which were irreplaceable items. They also destroyed a teak desk that should have been dissembled before shipping. The delivery dates were screwed up, and the people who coordinate the after-move process act like high-handed drill seargeants when you point out that they're late--Vector doesn't give a darn about customer service. Thank god I bought insurance. Do yourself a favor and use someone else. My move was an unnecessarily stressful and awful experience. I would not recommend Vector, even to my worst enemy. Despite being told otherwise, Vector provded numbered stickers and created an inventory (customer, at the last minute on move day, you get to create a SECOND, ?official? inventory list which no matter how hard you try won?t match the numbers that you already put on your boxes the night before). The quoted delivery timeframe was incorrect by several days (customer, this means that you get to re-arrange your schedule by a few days). Also, the box that Vector lost contained some of my father?s Army clothes that he wore in Vietnam. I would love to have those back, not to mention all of the other things I?ll never be able to replace. Vector gives moving companies a bad name. Vector is not thorough, they're inaccurate about the information that they give to customers, and Vector does not know how to treat people?s possessions. Instead of using the Mayflower logo, I think that something akin to the HMS Titanic would be a more appropriate logo for Vector a Move Ahead.
Pros: Near eurphoria when you realize after your claim is settled that you never have to deal with them again
Cons: Anything that can get messed up in a move is do-able my Vector (mess up-able, that is)
