I've been to Tucci many times for lunch and for dinner. The atmosphere is nice, if a little crowded with large tables too close together. Should improve when a planned renovation is complete...Jan 2006? The food doesn't warrant the high prices but the all Italian wine list is a hit with me. Service has been sub par in the past but on a recent visit, I was surprised by how friendly and courteous the staff were. Perhaps they've been reading some of the reviews. We had to wait in the bar - no reservations on a Friday night - and the manager brought an extra chair and requested that other diners make room for us. Unexpected but nice touch. They also managed to find us a table in less time than we expected. Food is good, but not outstanding.
