I had an agreement with this awful company for Frigidaire washing machine FTF2140FE for $540 including shipping. Pretty good deal, huh? After waiting nearly a week to receive an invoice, I end up getting an invoice for $575 for Frigidaire washing machine FTF-530FS. The FTF-530FS has an MSRP value over $200 less than the one I ordered, is not available in the color that I ordered, has almost half a foot less load capacity, half the number of wash cycles, and most important, is not the washing machine on which the agreement was made. I emailed the person sending me the invoice (Steve Tyrka) and received no response. I called the 800 number listed on the site and was told I would receive a call back. I emailed the original ?salesperson,? Tim Tyrka on 4/7/11 and was told that he would get back to me to fix it. I heard nothing back by 4/10/11 and called yet again?again being told that I would get a call back. I did not get a call back. I emailed again to see what was going on with the washing machine since I already had the matching dryer sitting in my hallway with the stacking kit for the set, informing him that if the situation was not rectified, I would be filing a complaint with the BBB because it was a little ridiculous that I had already been waiting weeks at that point. After being berated for questioning the obviously lackluster communication skills of the so-called salesperson, I was given the option of receiving a refund or receiving the washing machine. I opted for the washing machine and was informed that it would arrive early next week. I requested that Tim contact me to inform me when the item shipped so I would know when to expect it, but to cease contact that did not pertain to the shipping date of the washing machine that I paid for because he is rude and I shouldn?t have to explain to an employee of a company my reasoning for placing an order. I have saved all of the emails between the company and myself and it is clear that they formed a contract with me when they made this agreement. I fulfilled my end of the deal by paying for the item, and would like them to fulfill their end by providing me with the washing machine instead of sending me emails expecting me to have sympathy for the poor work ethics of their employees. I am completely sick of people who work in a customer service-oriented position yet have the people skills of a lobotomized donkey. I worked in retail for a very long time and it is astonishing to me that companies like this stay in business. The part that really pisses me off is the fact that when I called them on this error, I am the one who ends up having to explain why I placed the order in the first place. On what planet is a salesperson permitted to attempt to interrogate a customer when the error was on their part in the first place? I could see someone being peeved if I ordered something and measured wrong, resulting in an appliance that just doesn?t fit and then pitching a fit. Who, in their right mind, would get pissed off at someone spending $500+ at their store because they are incapable of accurately doing their job? As an added bonus, this debacle resulted in Tim Tyrka, apparently an owner of this morally reprehensible company, informing me that he was in my area, specifically telling me that he was 45 minutes from my home and knew where I lived. If that isn't creepy, I don't know what is. Don't waste your time trying to save money with these morons. The few bucks you might save isn't worth the trouble.
