Review content:
My daughter is getting married and due to her work schedule, doesn't have a lot of time to look at wedding dresses. I have gone to many beautiful stores, looked through the dresses and then made appointments for her if I saw the styles she is interested in. I went into A Formal Affair and saw no sales associates. As I browsed the bridal dresses, I did hear voices in the back so I continued to browse, moving toward the back of the store looking at the gowns. Suddenly, a woman walked up and asked if she could help me. I told her I was looking for my daughter and before I could continue, she informed me they do not allow browsing... I would need to make an appointment to browse! How would I know if I even wanted an appointment? She informed me that ALL Bridal Stores require an appointment and do not allow browsing, and that is the way it is done. Well, you can imagine how this conversation went. She was rude and she embarrassed and upset me, so I left saying I would NOT like to make an appointment and would never be back. Even though it upset me, I'm just glad we didn't make an appointment, having never even been in the store. I would hate for my daughter to have been humiliated like I was. I would never recommend this store to my friends. I wish I had gotten the name of the woman who treated me this way, but I was so stunned, I didn't even notice. I tired to give this store no stars, but the rating required that I give at least one. Pros: I'm thinking Cons: Very rude....why would someone behave like that?
