Review content:
I couldn't wait to get home to write a well-earned, scathing review of this bridal store and the horrid owner who lacks customer service skills, tact, and overall human decency.
I walk into the store, and she bee-lines over to me. She looks irritated that I am there, an interruption to her day, perhaps. Or perhaps it's because I am the only white person in the store? Just a thought. With a straight face she blurts: ""Can I help you."" I politely explain that I just want to browse wedding gowns to see if there's anything I like. She sternly says no, and that store policy requires an appointment. Again, I explain I just want to browse, NOT try on, NOT purchase. She sternly repeated that I needed an appointment because the dresses required an attendant to help with the dress. What part of ""just browse"" did she not understand?? I stood my ground: ""I would only like to browse.""She became more inflamed as she insisted that I cannot browse because ""the dresses are sold right from the hanger."" What did that have to do with anything?!? She appeased me by saying I could look at the cocktail dresses if I wanted to. Very funny. Her reasoning made no sense whatsoever. Obviously, she was trying to bully me out of the store using tactics of confusion. I believe this was for racial reasons. I walked right out the door. She didn't say, ""Would you like to make an appointment? Sorry that didn't work out! Thank you for stopping by!"" Nothing. Absolutely caustic. Personality of a shark.
If this woman was my employee and I caught her treating a customer as rudely as she treated me, I would march her into my office, wash her mouth out with soap, fire her, and sleep well at night having done so. There is absolutely no excuse for such arrogance, rudeness, and unprofessionalism. I will be shocked if her business holds up in this economy. Her days are numbered.
Also want to add that there are two sales ladies at work here -- one Jekyll and one Hyde, so the bad experiences people are having are the doings of Mrs. Hyde!
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Wretched attitude from owner.
