Review content:
We hired Steven Roddy to rehab a rental property that had been in a fire. He took the first installment (one third) of the money and sent two guys over for three days. Never even finished the demolition stage and than wanted more money. He asked for a 50% complete. he was denied and than asked for a second inspector who I suspect he paid to give him the 50%. I would not release the money until more work was legitimately completed. He had two other jobs going and was using our money to finish the first job. He also disappears because he says he is on dialysis and very ill. Has had several judgements filed against him/his business in delaware county. My mortgage company would not allow me to fire him and I ended up losing the property because it never got repaired.
