Merino is a fantastic performance fiber -- unlike synthetics and cotton it doesn't hold odor, breathes beautifully and doesn't itch like traditional wool.
New Zealand's Icebreaker makes fantastic baselayer (long undies), run/bike/hike apparel, and stuff for just kicking around. Beautiful stuff. This is their only US store!
