Review content:
Through my insurance I am assigned to Dr. M. Imran Iqbal, I just never get to see him. When I am sick and call for an appointment, EVERY time I?ve been told he has no openings this week, no exaggerating, it has never been less than an 8 day wait. They tell you if you are sick and need to be seen sooner then go to their after hours extended care which is located on the same floor and to my knowledge owned/managed by the same company. The problem is you never know who you will be seen by at that clinic.
I have insurance. I have a Doctor. When I'm sick I would like to see my Doctor. I don't know 8 days in advance when I will get sick!
Recently, 2 weeks after seeing a ?doctor? at extended care for a sore throat that never got better I called Dr. Iqbals? office on a Tuesday to ask for an appointment. For the first time they actually ?squeezed me in? on Thursday (only 2 days later) I truly was surprised. My throat and ears are extremely sore, if I stand up or move too fast I get dizzy and I have a low grade fever, I just feel awful. Dr. Iqbal looked in my throat and told me to say aaaah, I did it the same way I have for 45 years. He said ?say it again louder? so I did. He then got agitated and said ?I see you?re going to fight me on this, say it again louder?. What kind of comment is that? Nice bedside skills Dr Iqbal.
I tested negative for strep. He didn?t explain why it felt the same as when I had strep or why it has lasted so long. He didn?t explain the dizziness. He said I had post nasal drip and told me to take an OTC allergy medicine that I have already been taking daily and prescribed a nasal spray and sent me on my way. So here I am searching the internet for post nasal drip and dizziness, turns out I am not dizzy I am lightheaded and I am now looking up the difference between strep and a sore throat and just how long this is going to last. Isn?t that what a doctor should tell me? And yes, I am actively looking to change Doctors
Cons: Can't ever see my doctor when I'm sick
